Laura Winstone

Laura Winstone is a Norwich based artist and illustrator.

Laura uses collage with hand painted papers to create her distinctive and original artwork for a contemporary audience. She draws visual reference from her love of decorative objects and cultural artifacts, as well as the local area.

Her work often features bold colours, decorative patterns, and playful elements.

Laura lives and works from her studio and home in Norwich. She is currently working on her first children’s book which will be published in 2022.

She has recently been awarded the second prize in the prestigious Macmillian illustration prize for Children's illustration and highly commended in the V & A illustration awards. She is also a Qest scholar  for excellence in Great British craft.
