Stiffkey Stole Kit - Shetland wool
The kit is comprised of 200g Shetland Sheep, natural colour 4-ply weight wool. Plus pattern with knitting instructions. suitable for an intermediate/good beginner. Stiffkey (pronounced locally as Stew – kee), is an ancient village on the North Norfolk Coast (UK). It features in the Domesday Book of 1086. More recently, due to the environmental importance of Stiffkey’s extensive tidal saltmarshes, it forms part of Blakeney National Nature Reserve. The Stiffkey Stole reflects perfectly the timeless, haunting qualities of this strange and wild part of the coast. Stoles and shawls have been worn for millennia, for warmth and comfort. While the stole’s elegant, contemporary design ensures it is versatile enough to wear walking the marshes, or seeking post-walk sustenance in the local inns and cafes.
