Andrea Girling

Andrea discovered a passion for bookbinding during her fine art degree. 

Her artwork and handmade books are inspired by Eastern philosophies, Japanese sensibilities, and the slow living movement.  She finds the practice of bookbinding meditative as she loses herself in cutting, folding, stitching, and drawing.  The act of repeating a process over and over is not only a way of gaining better understanding but also a way of slowing down.
