Wacky Women
For Annemarie, it all began in October 2014 when the first intuitive portrait emerged whilst doodling at the kitchen table, now there is a whole crowd of them (affectionately named wacky women). Hardly a day goes by when the artist doesn't paint or create something.
Her paintings/collages are fun and colourful and developed from her love of portraiture. Annemarie experiments with all sorts of mediums and often collages these exercises together. Sometimes marks which appear serendipitously can be become the most endearing feature.
In 2020 she published a booklet, Lockdown Chronicles featuring 36 illustrations and vignettes of that period in time. Quirky, fun and created to make you smile.
