Atkins III

Initially inspired by weaving art created by women of the Bauhaus movement, this ongoing collection of work draws colour inspiration from a variety of women artists throughout history. Some names are port of the canon, some may be less well known, but all are worth discovering more about.

In 1843 Anna Atkins self-published the first book to feature photographic images, with her cyanotypes of British algae.
