Harding Baker III

Initially inspired by weaving art created by women of the Bauhaus movement, this ongoing collection of work draws colour inspiration from a variety of women artists throughout history. Some names are port of the canon, some may be less well known, but all are worth discovering more about.

Ellen Harding Baker was an astronomer and teacher who created the Solar System Quilt as a teaching aid, and it remains an important example of the art of quilt-making today.
