Krasner II

Initially inspired by weaving art created by women of the Bauhaus movement, this ongoing collection of work draws colour inspiration from a variety of women artists throughout history. Some names are port of the canon, some may be less well known, but all are worth discovering more about.

Determined from a young age to become an artist, Lee Krasner continually challenged herself to evolve her style, never wanting to feel stagnant. This weaving draws colours from her Combat painting of 1965
