INDIGO

Cultivated around the world for centuries, there are numerous species of plants like Indigofera tinctorial that produce Indigo from their green leaves - the last colour you’d imagine them creating is blue.

Used globally, the oldest recorded use of indigo is 6000 years ago in Peru at the site of Huaca Prieta, a prehistoric settlement. Also home to the world’s oldest use of cotton, cultivated maize and avocados… Sounds like a trendy brunch spot…

in this apartment we’ve used repurposed original timbers and shades of Indigo paired with natural brick and flint textures to add to the atmosphere of this light-filled apartment..
